Regulation of protein-protein interactions with therapeutic potential in neuronal disease

Welcome to Sánchez-Barrena Lab!
We study at molecular level Ca2+ signal transduction processes that occur on the membrane and that may yield to biotechnological and biomedical applications, using X-ray crystallography as the central technique. The study of interactions at atomic level serves as the starting point to develop a structure-guided rational approach to design small-molecule modulators with therapeutic potential in neuronal disease.
